Wichita Balloon Artist

Wichita, Kansas Balloon Artist

Balloon art has come along way since the days of wiener dogs and giraffes. And while there is not a lot of activity in the Wichita area in the way of balloon animals, those in attendance at birthday parties and company picnics etc still enjoy some of the best balloons possible when Keir stops by their event. Keir is a native of Wichita and frequently performs at events in across Kansas both as a magician and as a balloon artist. In addition to working events as a performer, Keir also attends balloon conventions where he learns and teaches some of the most amazing balloon animals imaginable. Of course many of the things he makes aren’t even technically balloon animals as he makes practically anything you can think of.

Keir’s Wichita website currently only reflects his talents as a magician however you can check it out at www.WichitaComedyMagician.com  and watch the YouTube  link to see more of his work as a balloon artist.

One thing I love to do is to theme my balloon creations. My latest line of creations is based on Star Wars however this concept can be applied to anything that a guest of honor or company is interested in seeing made out of balloons. What better thing to make out of a balloon than to make a company’s latest product line or a birthday party boy or girl’s favorite cartoon character.

So check out the video posted here of my Star Wars balloons and visit my website to see even more of my creations at www.DenverKidMagic.com

Birthday Parties Denver

Making balloon art at a party is a blast, but it’s even more fun when you can theme your balloons to a special theme or interest. Recently I did a party for a child’s birthday party and the theme for the party was Star Wars. So I created a whole bunch of new balloon animals just for the party.

My favorite is Yoda (as he has a real working light saber/glow stick) and the X-Wing Fighter. Others include a Tie Fighter, R2-D2, and of course Darth Vader!

So if your into Star Wars balloons or you want me to create some balloons for a different theme, check out my website and give me a call…

Best,

Keir

If your hiring a performer to do a magic show or the like at your kid’s party, the performer should have almost as much fun as the kids do. You want someone who is upbeat, high energy and full of excitement for your party and that means that everyone is going to have fun, including the performer!

So make sure to hire someone who gives you a strong impression that this is their M.O. when you talk to them on the phone. Watch their videos and get a feel for their style and make sure that EVERYONE in attendance is going to have a blast!

OK so it’s easy to say that everyone will have fun at the party but how do you know everyone is going to have fun? Well if there are any concerns, I offer a money back guarantee. Offering a money back guarantee puts the customer’s mind at ease. It is rare if not non-existent that someone will take advantage of such an offer by making up complaints etc. and you stand much more to gain than to lose by offering (and honoring should it ever ever come to that). This way your customers can have an added measure of comfort in trusting that you will do a great job, you can book more work as a result and in most every situation, everyone gets what makes them happy. The customer gets piece of mind before the show and a great show the day of the event. And you still get paid and go home happy!

Just got back from the Twist and Shout balloon artist convention in Boston las month. What a great time… I learned a ton of new stuff and got to know a few new balloon artists also. And naturally saw some old friends also. These conventions are great for finding out about new products, networking and of course learning tons of new balloons.

My favorite was the Batman that I learned and David Brinion’s backpacks that he taught. I bought both of David’s videos from T Myers Magic while I was there.

To see the video of the 2010 convention held in Chicago, check out the link posted here and go to the “video” page on my website.

Best regards,

Keir

Denver Balloon Twister

OK so for those of you who have asked (and yes people have really asked) I do have some new balloon art that looks a little like (however are not exactly like) some of the things you might have seen in the Star Wars movies. Now before you get all “wow I am soooo going to call Lucas Films Productions on you”, know that I am not selling these balloons, just making them for those who request them.

So check em out, you can find many more pics on my site.

People often ask me how we balloon artists learn new creations. And while I design a lot of the balloons I make myself, I still love going to balloon conventions and seeing what everyone else has come up with. This year’s Twist and Shout balloon convention was in Boston and I will soon be making a video of my experience there, however in the meanwhile check out the footage from 2010’s convention in Chicago.

Here you will see everything from simple creations made of 5 or 6 balloons to a giant T-Rex.

When looking for an entertainer for your birthday party (whether it be in Denver or anywhere else for that matter) there are some basic things that you can do to significantly increase the odds of finding a great entertainer.  Let’s start with some of the obvious yet frequently overlooked things. For starters, make sure they have a nice professional looking website. A sloppy site likely means a sloppy performer.

Professionally taken portrait quality photos are also a good indicator although a few thrown in that were “taken in the field” are nice to see also. And the biggest thing is the VIDEO! If a performer in the year 2011 does not have a video available you have to ask yourself why??? Even if it is on Youtube, you should be able to access and watch a video of their performance and if you can’t find one, move on!

Another easy thing to do is to ask for a few references. Ask for three or four of them and call two of them and you will get that much closer to guaranteeing your party will be great.

Best of luck with your search and do your homework before hiring anyone to entertain at your child’s party.
